Cambodian Magic Mushrooms were first discovered and cultivated in the Kandal region of Cambodia near the Khmer temples during the early 2000s. From there the spores made their way to Phnom Penh and eventually into wider global circulation.
These mushrooms are widely known for the strong visual hallucinations they can cause. Seen by many as being more of a “party shroom”, they’re often favoured by those looking to enhance a more vibrant experience as opposed to taken in isolation, although they can certainly be enjoyed in a wide variety of environments.
Interestingly, the Cambodian magic mushrooms are extremely similar to their South American cousins – possibly owing to similarities in the climate of the regions of their respective origin. In appearance, they are distinguished by their broad, thin, brownish caps, and white/blue twisted stems. They don’t grow as tall as some of their counterparts, but they still pack an extremely powerful punch.
